When his letters arrive, they always, without exception, make her feel like an ordered-by-owl mistress.
Need you. Will be done with the Headmistress by 11 p.m.
His letters are never signed, of course. Such trifles are beneath him.
Calling after her, like a desperate wolf's cry that is heard throughout the forest, is apparently not beneath him.
When she waites for him, prepares tea for him (how cliche - he'll scowl and hide his appreciation for it - for her) she feels more like a wife.
In the end, he is what matters.
