Today I tried writing the Jenna fic prompted by

upupa_epops, then I tried writing a Sansa/Jaime fic for another prompt, but nothing worked, and I shall attribute that to unresolved Vampire thoughts swimming in my brain and wrecking havoc. Damn you teenage vampire show!

So, I present to you: The impossible list of season 4 expectations: a sort of "what's happened so far and what do I want next" TVD analysis. (God help us everyone :D)

Mostly random thoughts in random order, because it's late and the thinking parts of my brain are already half asleep.

Elena
I WANT BAMF ELENA. I want her to have trouble with becoming a vampire, however I WILL BE ANGRY if the show drags her transitioning on and on, since WE ALL KNOW SHE IS GOING TO GO THROUGH WITH IT.

I do not want her to be so silly as to think her meeting Damon first actually means ANYTHING.
(OK THOUGH: He compelled her, as I remember to go and get everything she's looking for. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN SHOW? TELL ME WHAT IT MEANS. Are we supposed to believe that compulsion had some sort of effect on her life, or that she did something BECAUSE Damon compelled her to "get everything she's looking for"? GUH. SO MANY THOUGHTS.

I don't want her to rush into any brother's waiting arms, except for Jeremy's (When I say this, it should mean brotherly love, not incest. THOUGH who am I to complain about incest. I'm looking at you Arya and Jon!)

I want her to want blood and have problems with that. I want her to want to kill and have problems with that. Heck, I want her TO KILL and have problems with that.
I want her to fight with Damon, because she can do a bit more than bitchslap him now. (Because YOU ALL KNOW he would let her punch him as much as she needed/wanted to, and I need that on my screen :D)

Because of

badboy_fangirl I now want her to go TP people's cars. (GO READ HER FIC, I mean it :D)
I want her to spend time with Caroline and Bonnie and HAVE FUN and talk about things that are not "forever" or "never" or "always". Like, watch Buffy and talk about how Damon is Faith (THAT FIC WAS ALSO AWESOME :D)

I want her to acknowledge that Stefan didn't save her, and I want her to be irrationally angry, because she is a vampire now, and she wasn't before he didn't save her. I want her to think that if it had been Damon, she would have been alive, but Matt would have been dead, and I want a part of her to wish that was how it happened, even though she hates that part of her.
I want her to be unapologetic about everything.

I want to see what she looks like with her game face on.
I want mirror scenes! (because

youcallitwinter has flawless mirrors-in-TVD thoughts and they are HIGHLY contagious.)

I want her to compel bartenders into letting her drink.
I want her to steal from Damon's bourbon stash and hide that she's stealing, and I want him to pretend he doesn't notice.

I want her to go hunting in the woods with Caroline.

I want her to fear that this will make her closer to becoming like Katherine and I want her to see that the difference between being a monster or a human is not as noticable and big as it used to seem.

I want her to kick some random vampire's ass.

I want her do something she's ashamed of and then try to pretend she's Katherine.

I want ponytail!Elena and bitchy!Elena and hungry!Elena.

Also, are the girls seniors in high school now? OMG big life decision making time, then. Can't wait. Though chances of Elena/Normal Life being endgame have decreased ever so slightly following the season finale.

I want her to talk to Damon about the incidents of her compelling her, as in Compelling people is bad, Damon, but I did also tell you to compel my brother on two occasions, so how angry am I allowed to be with you?

More thoughts: was it Damon's blood that turned her? That would make most sense. Will we see the sire bond here, that is my question :D

Damon

Damon, sweet innocent Damon.
I want Damon and Stefan to try to help Elena adapt to her new life, and realize they're probably not the best vampires in the world to be teaching her that :D

I WANT BOTH SALVATORES TO FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR FEELINGS FOR KATHERINE AS SOMETHING THAT EXISTS, like, in present tense.

I want to see Damon careful around Elena like never before, even if now she's physically stronger than ever.
I want him to try to find the balance between snarking at her, season 1 style, and worshiping her, season 3 style. I want him continue to not screw it up, because it will piss her off.

I want him to freak out if people get blood on his rugs and throw glasses in the fireplace and I want to see him order glasses from ebay, or wherever he gets all those glasses from :D

I want him to think of new nicknames for Elena :D

I want Damon to have ALL THE FEELS because of Elena's transition.

I want the Salvatores to have an epic level fight because Damon's angry, and he's a drama queen (and he WILL insist they take it outside, because he's not cleaning up anymore.)

Stefan
I want Stefan, oh, where do I start?
I want him to feel guilty and accept what he's done, because I'm still not sure he has (bloodlust arc wise, I mean.)

I want to see Stefan decide what he wants now with life, I want to see him decide he wants to stop killing, BECAUSE HE WANTS TO, not because of his epic love for Elena.

I want all the wonderful Katherine/Stefan moments. I want HER to help him see that it doesn't all come down to the love of a woman (while flirting shamelessly, of course :D).

I WANT ALL THE STEFAN/CAROLINE SCENES, THEY'VE BEEN LONG OVERDUE.
Related to that, I also want the boy to LAUGH. He used, to laugh, remember?

Katherine

I WANT THE HBIC BACK. As a regular, not just a few episodes per season (I'm looking at you, show!). I want her to mess with everyone mercilessly, and I want everyone to mess with her because remember whose humanity ruined the last master plan, Katherine and Stefan?

I want Stefan/Damon and Katherine to team up and do AWESOME things.
I WANT ALL THE ELENA/KATHERINE scenes and the reappearance of It's okay to love them both.

I want Katherine/Elijah and Katherine/Klaus scenes and I wonder now if she's ever met Kol? AND OMG Rebekah/Katherine having scenes IS A MUST.

Caroline

I want her to stay in Mystic Falls, because Caroline helps her friends first, no matter what.
Stefan/Caroline, OF COURSE. I need them to kick ass together!

I need her to continue being the most alive person on the show, and still get incredibly excited over dances and dressed and haircuts and decorations.

I want all the CAROLINE/REBEKAH school, cheerleading and dances scenes.

I want her to kick Tyler/Klaus's ass if he tries something with her without her knowing he's Tyler/Klaus :D

Basically, I want her to keep being as awesome as always <3

Bonnie

BONNIE NEEDS TO KICK ASS. After years of being used as a plot device I want her to continue the amazing journey she started in 3.22 and say this is what I am, and not apologize. I want her to help Elena with her death/new life.
I want her to be a powerful witch and an amazing girl and friend.
I want the girls to go on a dance as each other's dates <3

Jeremy
I want him and Elena to have a crazy amount of family scenes together. I want Jeremy to be angry at all the vampires and I want him to love his sister more than ever. I want him to get her blood bags and eat junk food with her to help her cravings.

Matt

Oh poor Matt. A near death experience, a friend turned vampire, a friend dead. Can it get any worse for Matt at this point?
I want him to have an interesting storyline, or I don't want to see him on screen much. It's a bit cruel, but I can't say I'm invested in him much.

Tyler/Klaus

Oh Klaus, I am sure you will keep causing chaos in Mystic Falls as you have so far. Keep going, Sir, keep going.

Also, I want to know what's happened: Is Tyler still in the body somewhere? Could he go back? Could Klaus be transfered to another body? Could Klaus's old body be salvaged somehow? I miss Joseph Morgan already :(

ALSO, we need more of his creepy Cinderella fetish and throwing things at houses and being a better Gossip Girl than people in Gossip Girl. (HE just wants Elena to pick Damon so he can have Stefan to himself, LIKE WE DON'T SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU, KLAUS :D)

Rebekah

Rebekah, darling. I want drunken hookups with Damon or attempts at hookups with Damon and maybe some Matt/Rebekah scenes, they were kind of sweet.
SHE FINALLY NEEDS TO GO A DANCE, SRSLY.

Elijah
Oh, my favorite BAMF :D I want him to continue being amazing. I want him to try to help Elena. And as of this second, for some unknown reason, I now want him to attend a Mystic Falls dance :D Seriously, guys, he's never been to one. (Right?) I WANNA SEE HIM DANCE :D I want ALL THE Elijah/Klaus/Rebekah/Kol scenes. I want another ball thrown and vampires thrown out the window.

Kol
I WANT MORE KOL :D
I want him to come to Mystic Falls and MESS WITH EVERYONE :D I want him to tease Klaus about his new body, and Rebekah about being the most hated vampire in town. I want him to be Damon's new drinking buddy and I want him to hit on Caroline and epically fail :D(or: what happens while I try writing fic with other thoughts in mind.)

Other thoughts:
