When she was young, it smelled to her like fun and long evenings spent dancing and innocent flirtations and Gryffindor parties.
Until dawn.
When she was older, and her tongue acquainted with it, she liked the taste of Firewhiskey, the bittersweet aroma.
She tasted it at Ministry parties and between lovers, some lasting til dawn. Some longer.
It's one Yule Ball he (finally) approaches her, two glasses in hand.
"I thought you'd never come through."
"I like to take my time."

They leave the ball together.
