I come from the same corner of fandom as Marta upupa_epops, we've got this little community of Polish writers interested in Anglophone fandoms, but she left us for you natives :P And, quite frankly, writing to such fandoms in a mother tongue is a little like translating all the time, so I'm not a stranger to it.
