So I am late to this party, but I am working a 30 hour weekend and suddenly remembered ever_neutral mentioning this picspam of epic proportions and, as if preordained, there it was open in a tab on my laptop and HOLY CRAP this is gorgeous. The poem itself is already utterly heartwrenching but you've done SUCH a beautiful job of scene choices and switching between Damon and Elena's points of view. And I have just had a cursory flick through your journal and am adding you post haste! I'm basically failing at lj these days but have the best of intentions about one day making a post again! I am still excellent at stalking and commenting however!
